That's awesome! I watched the video and was amazed by her. One thing I want to know is how did you get the device to make her move? Did you take out of another toy? Also, I noticed that you used a separate pattern for her body? I'd love to know. I'm considering making a baby sleeping RD soon that had pouch on her tummy to hold a hot pad. I'd love to obtain pointers from you or anyone who'd like to give me some. I'd appreciate it.
I used bits from other toys that move; it's a HUGE pain copying the pattern for the body ( the factory puts weird saggy parts about the body to allow the parts to move ) but it's rewarding to see it move. (:
I made the body first, and then the head separately. Then, sewed the neck on the the head, and pinned the other half of the next to the body and turned it on. If it moves yet doesn't scrunch to much, I sew it on with a hidden stitch.
It's a whole lot of guess work in the end and gives major head aches; but like I said, there is nothing cooler than seeing your art move.
That sounds really cute!! I thought about getting one of those breathing baby animal plush old people usually have and making a pony out of it...it'd be crazy cute if you combined that with a hot pad too!
Anywho, wish you luck! Feel free to ask anything else...or re-ask one if my blondess took a question wrong. ^_^
